For most Americans Easter Sunday looked and felt different than any year before due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and social distancing rules that are in place. However, some things remained the same, including Barbra Streisand’s inability to restrain her anger toward President Donald Trump.

“I wrote a song called ‘Don’t Lie to Me’ after Trump was elected, because he was a serial liar. Now, with more than 20,000 people dead because of his incompetence and lies, he’s proven that he can’t handle the truth. He’s unfit to lead this nation…especially in a time of crisis,” Streisand said in her tweet.

Streisand’s song is an anti-Trump anthem and she has been relentless in her hatred of the president that Americans elected to office.

It’s shameful to see such heartless and illogical attacks come out of Hollywood. Certainly the government and President Trump are not perfect, but neither is Babs or any other person for that matter.

As disruptive, frustrating and somber as these times have been, this has also been the best opportunity America has seen since the tragic events of 9/11 to rally together and cease the over-dramatic politicization of every facet of life.  People with large platforms like Streisand could be using her voice for good; instead, she chooses hate.
