Ghislaine Maxwell, the alleged former madam of the late billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, just suffered yet another defeat in court when a judge shut down her attempts to keep documents regarding her sex life sealed.

The Sun reported that Maxwell lost her appeal to keep sealed the documents from a now-closed 2015 defamation lawsuit by Epstein accuser Virginia Roberts Giuffre. The documents allegedly include sexual images and videos of Maxwell, but her lawyers want those to be kept confidential.

Meanwhile, prosecutors are worried that witnesses against Maxwell “could be harassed,” which is why they want to block the defense from identifying them.

“The [alleged] victims of Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein have suffered enough,” prosecutors said in court papers. “They have urged judges to keep the accusers’ identities private, unless they have already publicly acknowledged their involvement in the case.”

“Permitting defense counsel to publicly identify witnesses who have not identified themselves on the record in this case risks subjecting witnesses to harassment and intimidation, with no conceivable benefit to the defence other than perhaps discouraging witnesses from cooperating with the Government,” they added.

Giuffre has previously claimed that Maxwell was the “mastermind” behind Epstein’s operation.

“Jeffrey was a sick pedophile, but she was the mastermind,” Giuffre said. “Put it this way, Epstein was Pinocchio and she was Geppetto. She was pulling the strings, she had his money, he had her contacts – but Ghislaine was much more conniving and smart than Epstein ever was.”

Maxwell was arrested on July 2 and hit with six charges related to her allegedly grooming young girls for sex with Epstein. She has since been remanded to prison until her trial, which is not scheduled to take place until next July, because a judge ruled her to be a significant flight risk due to her immense wealth and international connections.

Maxwell is reportedly terrified of prison, as she believes Epstein was murdered behind bars last August, even though the official story has always been that he committed suicide.

“Everyone’s view including Ghislaine’s is Epstein was murdered. She received death threats before she was arrested,” an unnamed friend told The Sun.

This friend, who The Sun described as being “in regular contact with Maxwell at her secret New Hampshire hideaway,” explained that these death threats are what led to her hiring security guards to protect her at her New Hampshire estate prior to her arrest. These threats have also led Maxwell and those close to her to believe that she won’t live to see her trial.
