The rapper Kanye West’s presidential run, and his behavior throughout it, has been a “nightmare” for his wife Kim Kardashian, according to a source close to the situation.
The source told Page Six [1] that Kardashian “begged” West to end his presidential run for the sake of their family. Instead, West just responded by upping his operation.
Last week, Kardashian reportedly flew to West’s ranch in Wyoming after he broke down crying in a speech as he talked about how they allegedly nearly aborted their first child, daughter North.
“Kim begged Kanye to stop his presidential thing, to stop talking about their kids at rallies,” the insider said. “But he ignored her and instead he went ahead and hired more people . . . and tried to register in more states. He just won’t stop this presidential bulls–t.”
The couple has been living separate lives over the past few weeks, with Kardashian staying in Los Angeles with their children while West is in Wyoming.
“This is a nightmare for Kim, she is looking for a way out,” the source said. “But she’s also a nice person and wants to do the best for her kids.”
A rep for Kardashian is denying these reports, however, saying simply, “This is not true.”
This comes after another source said that Kardashian sees West’s behavior as a serious mental health issue.
“Kim has known about Kanye’s bipolar disorder all along, and she has worked hard privately to support him and protect him and their kids,” the source said. “But this is the worst episode he has ever had. She fears he may have to hit rock bottom before he finally wakes up and realizes what he has done.”
Another insider told Us Weekly [2] that West checked himself in to the hospital for anxiety before Kardashian’s visit.
“Kanye has been experiencing a lot of anxiety lately,” a source said. “He has been surrounded by a lot of people and started to feel really overwhelmed.”
“Kanye decided to go to the hospital to get checked out,” the insider added. “Upon his arrival, Kanye decided he’d rather be seen at home. He headed back to his home — an ambulance followed. Kanye was treated and his doctor says his vitals are normal. He’s feeling much better.”
