Fans of Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are feeling worried about the couple right now after sources came forward to say that they are going through a “rough patch” in their relationship right now.

“They feel suffocated and stressed,” a source told US Weekly. “They’re both stretched to the limit.”

Friends say that much of the stresses on their relationship appear to stem from the new $13.2 million mansion that they just bought in the ritzy Encino neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. After spending months of quarantine in Oklahoma with very little drama, this move has reportedly become a “nightmare” for them.

“Friends say this move has turned into a nightmare,” the source explained. “This is the toughest period they’ve had so far without a doubt.”

However, the insider made sure to add that there is still hope for the couple, who had planned to get married in Los Angeles in the fall.

“They know how to compromise,” the source said, going on to say that they have found ways in the past to “work through any tension and look at the bigger picture.”

The couple met back in 2014 on the set of “The Voice,” and at the time, each of them were married to other famous singers: Shelton to country music star Miranda Lambert, and Stefani to singer Gavin Rossdale.

They began dating the next year, when they both divorced their former spouses.

Earlier this year, Stefani began the “formal process” of having her marriage to Rossdale annulled “so she can marry Blake and have it be recognized by the [Catholic] church.”

However, a source previously said that after months in quarantine, Stefani changed her mind about waiting to get married until the process is complete.

“It has made her realize that waiting for the annulment at this point is just futile because it could take years for the church tribunal to issue the decision,” the source said.

Shelton said earlier in the summer that he was enjoying the downtime on his Oklahoma ranch with Stefani and her three young sons from her previous marriage.

“We’ve been doing things that I wished I had time to do for the last 20 years I guess,” Shelton said. “That’s literally stupid things like pick blackberries. We grew a garden, grew several acres of sweet corn.”
