With Joe Biden seemingly praising Antifa and BLM at the debate, it’s no surprise a college football offensive coordinator has found himself in hot water after he replaced a Black Lives Matter sign on his office door. What did he replace it with? A simple phrase that most Americans believe, “All lives matter to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”

Back in August, Kurt Beathard was walking to his office at Illinois State University when he noticed a BLM sign taped to his door. Talking to reporters, Beathard said, “‘I thought, ‘No, I can’t have this on my door,’ so I took it off and put it behind the chair in my office. I was praying about it and I thought, ‘All lives matter here, and there’s no other organization other than Jesus Christ to sponsor that.'”

Acting like a reasonable adult, Beathard didn’t tear up the sign or make a mockery of the movement. He simply put the sign behind his chair and pondered on the meaning behind the words until he felt like he had a solution. Unfortunately, the rest of the university faculty couldn’t act in the same manner given the BLM was founded by three pro-Marxist members.

Two weeks after putting the sign up, Beathard had almost forgotten about it when his superiors approached him, wanting to talk about his stance. Beathard recalled them saying, “As a favor, could you please take that off your door? I didn’t take it off right away. I sat there and prayed about it, and I said, ‘God knows where my heart is. That’s all that matters. If it will help to take it off, I’ll take it off.'”

Sadly, Beathard’s move to take down the sign was too late as a picture was taken and quickly circulated the college campus, somehow offending their tender hearts. It would be on September 2 that Beathard was informed that he no longer would be working with the football team and had been reassigned by ISU.

To make matter worse, several news outlets picked up the story and ran with the headline that Beathard had not only taken down the BLM poster in the locker room but also quit his job. Beathard was quick to state that it was the school’s decision to replace him not his.

As for the BLM sign in the men’s locker room, Beathard said, “That locker room crap is wrong, I took the sign down somebody put on my door. That’s it. I didn’t take anything off that wasn’t put on my door. I wrote the message.”

It’s unclear which position within the school Beathard was moved to, but sources close to him says the move has been tough given the backlash and due to his wife passing away over the summer from cancer.
