Prince Harry Determined To Give Archie The ‘Childhood He Always Wanted,’ Insider Says

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have gotten to spend more time at home with their 1 year-old son Archie than ever before as they quarantine at their Santa Barbara, California mansion amidst the coronavirus pandemic.

“In the absence of COVID, we would be traveling and working more,” Meghan said earlier this week during a virtual discussion with activist Malala Yousafzai for International Day of the Girl. Harry chimed in to add, “We were both there for [Archie’s] first steps. His first run, his first fall, his first everything.”

A source has since told People Magazine [1] that Harry and Meghan have been enjoying their time at home with their son.

“They are both extremely attentive parents. Harry wants to give Archie the childhood he always wanted,” the insider explained. “They spend a ton of time outside, and both Harry and Meghan love to play—all the private space is a dream for them.”

Back in August, Harry revealed that he and Archie had been spending a lot of time outside together amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I’ve got a little space outside, which I’m fortunate enough to have so I need to get him playing some Rugby League,” Harry said. “Our little man is our number one priority, but our work after that is the second priority and we’re just trying to do everything we can to do our part to make the world a better place.”

Another source said that Archie is loving his family’s new home in the ritzy area of Montecito.

“Archie is really happy, and he has space to run free,” the source said “The house came with a play structure that he’ll be climbing in no time.”

As for Meghan, she seems to be loving her life in her home state of California with Harry and Archie as well.

“Everything I’m doing is for Archie, our son…There’s a lot that I’m excited about — certainly in creating programming and content that is conscious and inspiring and has a call to action and is uplifting,” she said [2]. “And I’m excited to be back home in the States and hopefully as things start to open up a bit more with COVID, just to be back and engaging and interacting with people in a different way and in a way that will allow me to roll my sleeves up and really be boots on the ground back at home.”
