The US Navy used to have a neat little weapon called CAPTOR. Here’s the textbook definition of it: “The Mark 60 CAPTOR (Encapsulated Torpedo) is the United States’ only deep-water anti-submarine naval mine. It uses a Mark 46 torpedo contained in an aluminum shell that is anchored to the ocean floor. The mine can be placed by either aircraft, submarine or surface vessel. The torpedo, once placed, can last anywhere from weeks to months underwater.”

It could be set to go off automatically if it stopped receiving a prearranged signal from Washington. And it could identify enemy vs allied ships. So, if DC and American command were no longer on the scene and sending signals to Captor due to a Soviet first strike, these little babies would still do nasty damage to the Soviet Navy. Get it? Durham is the Republican Captor.

Did the administration design it that way? Did they stall Durham so he could do maximum damage to a potential Biden administration once the Trump team realized they could or would lose? Interesting. But regardless, Barr’s Tuesday announcement that Durham would continue to stride was major news. How did the media cover it?

FNC: “Evening newscasts on ABC, NBC and CBS omitted that Attorney General Bill Barr appointed U.S. Attorney John Durham as special counsel to continue investigating the origins of the Russia probe in the next administration. Barr notified the Senate and House Judiciary Committees, in a letter dated Dec. 1 obtained by Fox News, that Durham would be special counsel. The news broke Tuesday afternoon, reported first by the Associated Press and confirmed by Fox News. However, Tuesday editions of ABC’s ‘World News Tonight,’ NBC’s ‘Nightly News’ and ‘CBS Evening News’ didn’t cover it.”

Barr ordered Durham “to investigate whether any federal official, employee, or any other person or entity violated the law in connection with the intelligence, counter-intelligence, or law-enforcement activities directed at the 2016 presidential campaigns, individuals associated with those campaigns, and individuals associated with the administration of President Donald J. Trump, including but not limited to Crossfire Hurricane and the investigation of Special Counsel Robert S. Mueller, III.” Gee, a dagger pointed at the heart of several top Democrats connected to the Biden administration. No big news, eh NBC?

In October, Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe said there “will be” and “should be” more indictments coming from Durham’s investigation, based on “intelligence” he has access to. “I think there will be more indictments,” Ratcliffe said. “Based on the intelligence I have access to, I certainly believe there should be.”
