The coronavirus is no longer considered a pandemic to the Democrats. It is nothing more than a weapon they can wield in order to suppress the American people. Even with scientists and experts coming out and saying that lockdowns and mask mandates are doing little to help, the Democrats continue to push for more lockdowns. Most recently, the Governor of California tried to enforce lockdowns against churches. How did that turn out for him, keep reading to find out?

California has been a prime example of what happens when the Democrats control a state. Citizens are leaving in record numbers as officials continue to force outrageous lockdowns against expert’s advice. And at the head of it all is the Governor – Gavin Newsom.

Thanks to the Governor, the state has a color-coded tier system that imposes certain restrictions on cities throughout the state that see a climb in cases. This is supposed to help stop the spread of COVID-19, or at least that is what the Democrats are claiming. But let’s take a closer look into what the restrictions actually entail. Due to the number of cases in Pasadena, places of worship like Harvest Rock Church and Harvest International Ministry, which have over 160 churches throughout the state, were forced to close their doors due to the Newsom system.

Under Newsom’s systems, no groups could meet and it also banned indoor singing and chanting. If you have ever been to a church, this is about the first 45 minutes of any service.

Feeling discriminated against, the churches lawyered up and fought Newsom all the way to the Supreme Court, where they actually ruled in favor of the churches. They said in a statement, “The September 2 order of the United States District Court for the Central District of California is vacated, and the case is remanded to the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit with instructions to remand to the District Court for further consideration in light of Roman Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn v. Cuomo.”

The Supreme Court would also go on to reference another case in New York in which the 5-4 ruling went in favor of places of worship. Just like in California, the Governor of New York sought to get rid of places of worship to help stop the spread of COVID-19. But thanks to the Supreme Court and the First Amendment, all churches are free to worship however they deem fit.
