Even while the Democrats believe they have beat Donald Trump, it appears that the former President might be eyeing to start his own political party. Since the election, Trump has been an outspoken voice on election fraud and voter manipulation that helped Biden win the 2020 election. While the Democrats claim a fair process, evidence has proven that fraud took place in key battleground states, yet it’s deemed unpatriotic to challenge the electoral college.

According to the Wall Street Journal, President Trump spent the last couple of days in the White House discussing a new political party to help combat the fraud and manipulation that has sewn itself into the fabric of American politics. While he ran as a Republican, President Trump hasn’t always been in favor of the party. Over his four-year tenure, Trump pushed the party further right than ever before, hoping to fix what Obama and the Democrats ruined in the previous Administration.

While giving his farewell speech to the American people, Trump happened to hint at starting his own party being labeled the Patriot Party. He said, “As I prepare to hand power over to a new administration at noon on Wednesday, I want you to know that the movement we started is only just beginning,” he said. “There’s never been anything like it. The belief that a nation must serve its citizens will not dwindle but instead only grow stronger by the day. As long as the American people hold in their hearts deep and devoted love of country, then there is nothing this nation cannot achieve.”

The move to start his own party comes with the rift that was caused between the President and the Republican Party. Following the Capitol riots, many within the conservative party decided to turn their backs on Trump, allowing the Democrats to try and impeach him for a second time. As it appears that cancel culture has buried itself within the Republican Party, Trump is seeking another party whose values, and morals align with his own.

While starting a new party isn’t a new idea around Washington, many Democrats are worried given the fact that President Trump has gained a massive following by himself. Even those within the Republican party expressed concern that the new party would cripple the conservatives and allow the Democrats to control future elections.

Although just an idea, for now, President Trump wasn’t shy when discussing the idea with the public. He even went as far as to mention it in his farewell speech to the American people. When addressing the nation, Trump said, “We will be back in some form.”
