Remember during the 2020 election when the Republicans and many right-wing conservatives attacked mail-in bailouts and how they could be manipulated to sway elections? Given that it was only a few weeks ago, how could anyone forget? Well, it seems Amazon didn’t get the memo as they are now attacking the right for their own employees to vote on business matters via mail-in bailouts. Why you may ask? Because the company believes the system could be tampered with.

The vote might not be for the next POTUS or any political matter, but it does show the double standard that is big tech. During the 2020 election, the Democrats and big tech led the way for mail-in ballots. They ran aids, got in people’s faces, and made sure they knew that voting in person was just one of several options. Now, Amazon is facing its own revolution and of course, the CEO Jeff Bezos wants to stop it. You can learn more about the dangers of mail-in ballots by clicking on the video below.

While some might not see mail-in voting as a problem, it should be noted that because of the COVID-19 pandemic, a staggering 46% of Americans voted by mail. Given those numbers and the outlook of the unionization of Amazon, and it is easy to see why Bezos and his colleagues would be against the move.

Most recently, Amazon filed an appeal with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) and is seeking to stop over 6,000 of its employees from voting via mail in their upcoming unionization vote.  Instead, the company wants its Alabama location to vote in person.

A member of Amazon, Heather Knox tried to spin the story saying that Amazon wants to make sure every voice is heard and accounted for, but that simply isn’t true. Unionizing for a company like Amazon would mean hefty fees and a complete overhaul of how the company is run. Yet Knox believes, “the best approach to a valid, fair and successful election is one that is conducted manually, in-person, making it easy for associates to verify and cast their vote in close proximity to their workplace.”

But again, if mail-in ballots are so untrustworthy, where was Amazon when the Democrats pushed it during the election?
