While several key celebrities in Hollywood continue to spread the message of the Liberal left, there are some that are fighting back against the woke culture that is tearing this nation apart. One actor, who has gained two Academy Awards, is finally fighting for blue lives while the rest of America seems to support Black Lives Matter. The actor in question is none other than Denzel Washington.

Speaking to the press, Washington didn’t shy away from his beliefs on BLM and how the police should be respected. Washington said, “I have the utmost respect for what (police) do, for what our soldiers do, (people) that sacrifice their lives. I just don’t care for people who put those kind of people down. If it weren’t for them, we would not have the freedom to complain about what they do.”

Not wanting to stay on the sidelines anymore, Washington tried to appeal to the American people by recalling a story that he once answered with a Sergeant in the Police Force. He said, “As he got out, another car came screaming up and two young people jumped out screaming. As it turned out, it was their grandfather. This policeman defused the entire situation by just remaining calm.

“But it showed me in an instant how they can lose their life. … He didn’t overreact. He could’ve pulled his gun out and shot the people that came up driving real fast. He could’ve shot the old man that was distraught and a bit confused. I think he was suffering a little bit from dementia. But in an instant, it taught me, and I never forgot it, what our law enforcement people have to deal with moment to moment, second to second.”

And just like that, Denzel Washington has a newfound respect for what police do every single day they put on that uniform. As Washington said above, if it weren’t for the brave men and women of the police force, sacrificing their life, then we wouldn’t have the freedom to express ourselves freely. Instead of tearing down the institution that protects us, we should embrace it.
