Just over a month ago, the news spread across the airwaves that Joe Biden had beaten Donald Trump to become our next President. The complete powerhouse that was the Trump campaign had come to a halt as the Democrats took control. But as you are about to read, the left isn’t happy with just beating the Republicans, they want to rewrite our entire history as well.

Introducing the 1619 bill. For those that aren’t aware, the 1619 bill was introduced to correct the wrongs of our history. The only problem – our history isn’t necessarily wrong. But still, for the sake of argument, the bill states that the true founding of America was when the first black slaves came over in – 1619. The bill also states that “anti-black racism runs in the very DNA of America.”

While absurd to begin with, there are some that actually want this bill to become the normal curriculum that is taught in our schools. Luckily, there are still a few true Americans among the political class that want to protect the fabric of America.

Headed by Rep. Skylar Wheeler, the legislation seeks to ban schools and colleges from teaching this backward ideology to the youth of our prospering nation. It also states the 1619 bill wants to “deny or obfuscate the fundamental principles upon which the United States was founded.”

As for Wheeler, he believes, “The 1619 Project seeks to tear down America, not lift her up. It seeks to divide, not unify. It aims to distort facts, not merely teach them. It does so as leftist political propaganda masquerading as history.”

But not all are on the side of History. Some, all Democrats, believe the bill is accurate and represents a new era in our nation’s story. Nikole Hannah Jones, the lead author of the 1619 Project says it “is a work of journalism. It uses historical facts and historiography to illuminate a part of our country and our story that we don’t know enough about. I don’t think those seeking to prohibit the teaching of the 1619 Project have engaged with the project. I don’t think they’ve read it … I don’t think they’ve talked to educators about how they’re using it in their classrooms.”

Sadly, the material in the proposed bill has already started to seep into the mainstream curriculum being taught in our schools. According to the Pulitzer Center, some 4500 schools around the United States have already incorporated materials provided by the project.
