FNC: “Trevor Noah railed against Gov. Andrew Cuomo Monday over his administration’s handling of the data surrounding COVID-19 in nursing homes, in an episode of ‘The Daily Show.’

‘Wow, really, Governor Cuomo?” Noah asked during the episode. “You lowered your own numbers to make yourself look better?’ That show hasn’t been at all funny since Stewart left. But give them this one on decency points.  Perhaps Cuomo thought he could find succor in the arms of the Washington Post. Nope.

“The early months of the pandemic crisis were an extraordinary time,” a CNN spokesperson told media Post columnist Erik Wemple. “We felt that Chris speaking with his brother about the challenges of what millions of American families were struggling with was of significant human interest. As a result, we made an exception to a rule that we have had in place since 2013 which prevents Chris from interviewing and covering his brother, and that rule remains in place today. CNN has covered the news surrounding Governor Cuomo extensively.”

Wemple, who focuses on cable news for WaPo, criticized the statement Monday as an “expression of the problem itself…Perhaps that shouldn’t be a surprise: Chris Cuomo and Andrew Cuomo are brothers, and journalists can’t reliably cover their brothers,” Wemple wrote.

And then, these absolutely devastating heartfelt comments on Tuesday from a grandaughter who just lost her grandmom in one of Cuomo’s elderly extermination camps. “We were able to do FaceTime and talk on the phone, but each time we talked to her we would just see a visible decline because she wasn’t able to see her family, and she thought we forgot about her with her dementia and she just didn’t really fully understand as to why we couldn’t visit…The FaceTime calls were hard in itself. It’s a different generation and they don’t really understand the technology behind it, let alone when someone has dementia…Each time we talked to her we could see the decline and we just held on hope that everything would open up soon,” Gelsey Markese added. “I have no doubt in my mind that it’s because of the isolation that she died. I feel like she gave up.”

Markese said that on her grandmom’s last day, her grandfather had to implore institutional staff to break rules on visitation and let the poor man sit with his dying wife.

“If my grandpa was able to hold her hand while she was dying in bed why couldn’t he when she was vibrant and living?” Markese said. “It was the most heartbreaking experience that I’d ever had in my life.”

This is all, every bit of it, due to Andrew Cuomo. He has the blood of thousands of grandmoms and grandads on his hands. But as a New York liberal Democrat, he tries to evade the responsibility. He is truly a repulsive individual.
