Former President Trump gloated, celebrated, and told his followers to stand by, as he did a victory dance over the Democrats Saturday afternoon.

“I want to first thank my team of dedicated lawyers and others for their tireless work upholding justice and defending truth,” Trump said. “My deepest thanks as well to all of the United States Senators and Members of Congress who stood proudly for the Constitution we all revere and for the sacred legal principles at the heart of our country.”
He also said: “This has been yet another phase of the greatest witch hunt in the history of our Country. No president has ever gone through anything like it, and it continues because our opponents cannot forget the almost 75 million people, the highest number ever for a sitting president, who voted for us just a few short months ago…Our historic, patriotic and beautiful movement to Make America Great Again has only just begun. In the months ahead I have much to share with you, and I look forward to continuing our incredible journey together to achieve American greatness for all of our people. There has never been anything like it!”
His son Donald Trump, Jr. added, “I wonder if in the midst of a pandemic now maybe that they’ve gotten their free airtime, now maybe that they’ve gotten all of the nonsense sort of hopefully out of their system, that the Democrats can actually go back to doing some work in the Senate. All of the Senate was pushed through this nonsense.”
The former president has many options open to him. He could run for president in 2024 and he would be the present favorite for the Republican nomination. An idea his aides have talked about behind closed doors in Washington is that Trump would, before making a decision on running in 2024, finance a search engine to compete with Google, a platform to compete with Twitter, and/or a buy and develop a major news network. That way, Trump’s aides have reportedly said, Trump supporters and Trump himself would be guaranteed a voice and could not be canceled and censored by the reigning leftist media or social media giants. Those are very interesting ideas.
