With each passing week, the American people continue to wonder just what President Biden is doing inside the White House. Since taking office, Biden has yet to address the country and lay out his plan for American. Instead, he hides in the oval office, signing executive orders and opening the borders to undocumented immigrants. Without a plan to combat the hundreds of thousands of people crossing the borders, Texas Governor Greg Abbott is taking it upon himself to show what true leadership looks like.

On Saturday, Abbott laid out his plan to keep Texas safe, tweeting, “Today Texas launched Operation Lone Star to respond to the border crisis. It deploys Nat’l Guard + DPS Officers + air, ground, marine, & tactical border security assets to deny Mexican Cartels & smugglers the ability to move drugs & people into Texas.”

In the months since the Biden Administration took office, Abbott and several key Republicans have been critical of Biden’s relaxed nature when it comes to border safety. To make matters worse, Abbott has called the situation in Texas a crisis, but yet Biden remains in the White House, letting his Press Secretary handle the questions.

Are you embarrassed to have Joe Biden as America's "President"?

While announcing Operation Lone Star, Abbott was critical of President Biden, saying, “The crisis at our southern border continues to escalate because of Biden Administration policies that refuse to secure the border and invite illegal immigration. Texas supports legal immigration but will not be an accomplice to the open border policies that cause, rather than prevent, a humanitarian crisis in our state and endanger the lives of Texans. We will surge the resources and law enforcement personnel needed to confront this crisis.”

According to the Border Patrol, over 400,000 immigrants tried to cross the border between October and January. They are also anticipating a staggering 100,000 undocumented children to arrive at the border in 2021 alone.

As Abbott takes control of the situation, the Biden Administration has denied the crisis at the border and merely refers to the dilemma  as “challenging.”

Not wanting to be left in the dark, President Biden decided not to visit the border to see the situation for himself. Instead, he asked senior officials to travel to Texas and brief him on the matter when they return.

White House spokesman Vedant Patel reiterated Biden’s plan, telling reporters, “President Biden has asked senior members of his team to travel to the border region in order to provide a full briefing to him on the government response to the influx of unaccompanied minors and an assessment of additional steps that can be taken to ensure the safety and care of these children.”
