While there isn’t much known about the situation at the border, thanks to the Biden Administration, there is enough information to conclude there is a full-blown crisis taking place. Although Biden might not know how to contain it, the Democrats have become experts in repelling the media and changing the narrative. And as they continue to call it a “circumstance”, Republican Senator Ted Cruz decided to clear the air and go see the border for himself. 

Never one to forget the cameras, Ted Cruz and the Republican Senate Delegation were some of the first to record just how bad the situation is. During their visit, not only did the Republicans encounter human traffickers, but they also came face to face with cartel members who openly mocked the border patrol and American government.

Shocked by what he saw, Cruz said, “We have been listening to and seeing cartel members, human traffickers right on the other side of the river, waving flashlights yelling and taunting Americans, taunting the Border Patrol because they know under the current policies of the Biden administration they can flood over here.”

Over recent months, the Republicans have been ramping up their efforts to expose the crisis at the border. Since Biden took office, the border has seen a vast increase of people trying to cross illegally. Cruz believes this all has to do with Biden. “They’re [smugglers] getting paid $4-5000 a person to smuggle them into the country and… when they smuggle them in, the Biden administration releases them.” 

Cruz wasn’t the only one to report from the border as Maine Republican Sen. Susan Collins spent several hours with border agents as they patrolled the border. She later tweeted, “Border Patrol is overwhelmed, overworked, & discouraged by new policies. Agents took us through a dangerous path to the Rio Grande where we could hear the Cartel members taunting us across the river. Human trafficking, child abuse, & drug smuggling are rampant. This is a crisis.”

But remember, while the Republicans are actually there, reporting the crisis firsthand, President Joe Biden claims this normal and happens every year. During his press conference, he said, “It happens every single solitary year. There is a significant increase in the number of people coming to the border in the winter months of January, February, March.” But this is also the same President who admitted that he can’t even plan ahead…
