Moving on to more pressing matters like gun control and smearing the names of top GOPs, it appears that President Biden and his circus of Democrats have all forgotten about the crisis at the Southern Border. Following the “out of sight, out of mind” rhetoric, the President and the person he put in charge of the border, Kamala Harris, has yet to even visit the border to address the situation themselves. But while they might be turning a blind eye, Texas Governor Greg Abbott is on the frontlines and is demanding the Biden Administration take action.

After yet another record-setting month for illegals crossing the border, stories continue to pour in about the horrid conditions and lack of empathy many of these migrant children are facing. And while VP Harris is too busy taking Easter vacations, these children continue to struggle for basic essentials. And now, if that wasn’t already bad, Gov. Abbott revealed credible allegations that children at a San Antonio migrant facility were not only being mistreated by the staff but also sexually abused.

In his statement to reporters, Abbott said, “The Biden administration has caused this crisis and has repeatedly failed to address it. The Biden administration opened borders. The administration failed to plan for the influx of children that they invited to come. Now they face allegations of despicable child abuse and neglect. This must end.”

Not only calling on the President to intervene, but Governor Abbott also gave a glimpse into what it is like for these innocent children living in terror. “Children at this facility are being sexually assaulted. Second, there are not enough staff to safely supervise the children at this facility. Third, some children in this facility are not eating throughout the day. And fourth, children with COVID are not being physically separated from children without COVID. We don’t know the total number of children abused.”

Not all that surprising, but President Biden didn’t respond to the allegations about child abuse at the border, or Governor Abbott’s suggestion to close the facility and move the children. Instead, a White House Representative released a statement.

“The Biden Administration takes the safety and well-being of children in its care very seriously. Currently we see no basis for Governor Abbott’s call to shut down the San Antonio Freeman Coliseum as an intake site, however, his claims will be looked into and investigated by the Department of Health and Human Services.”
