On Tuesday, following the shooting of 16-year-old Ma’Khia Bryant, who was brandishing a knife and trying to stab another person, BLM protesters and activists alike took to social media and the streets to show their hatred for cops. While some called for reform, others called for action as they toyed with the idea of shooting cops in retaliation. But while protesters continue to debate about the best response, NBA legend and China sympathizer, Lebron James decided to show his support in a series of tweets. The only problem – James had no idea what he was talking about.

Before the bodycam footage was released, the narrative was, like always, a white officer, without hesitation, pulled his weapon and killed a black teenager. It was this same narrative that led the NBA star to tweet out a picture of the officer with the caption, “YOU’RE NEXT”. The only problem, James, like most people, react to the situation before they have all the details. Shortly after the footage was released, James deleted his post, but not before releasing another tweet, trying to justify his heated response.

“I’m so damn tired of seeing Black people killed by police. I took the tweet down because it’s being used to create more hate -This isn’t about one officer. it’s about the entire system and they always use our words to create more racism. I am so desperate for more ACCOUNTABILITY.”

But while LeBron James continues to do damage control and call for reform, former President Donald Trump released a statement, condemning the NBA star. Since the former President was blocked from social media platforms, Trump released a statement saying, “LeBron James should focus on basketball rather than presiding over the destruction of the NBA, which has just recorded the lowest television RATINGS, by far, in the long and distinguished history of the League. His RACIST rants are divisive, nasty, insulting, and demeaning. He may be a great basketball player, but he is doing nothing to bring our Country together!”

While the NBA star didn’t respond to President Trump, it appears that James is standing by his tweet calling for reform across the entire police system. But again, when it comes to genocide on behalf of the Chinese government, Lebron is anything by talkative.
