Meghan And Harry Accused Of Lying In Oprah Interview Again As Sources Say They Were Calling The Shots Before Leaving Royal Family

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are being accused once again of lying in their tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey last month, as sources are saying that despite the fact that they claimed they had no control over their lives before leaving the royal family, they were actually calling the shots.

“There was a constant dialogue from the couple along the lines of: ‘Why can’t we do this? You can’t stop us from doing what we want to do,'” sources told The Telegraph. [1]

“They were calling the shots and would be the ones instructing the press office on what line to put out,” the source added, referring to the lead-up to Meghan and Harry stepping down as senior royals in January of 2020.

This directly contradicts claims made by Meghan and Harry in their interview with Oprah, as they alleged that they had no plan when they left the royal family.

that they “didn’t have a plan” when they left the royal family.

“The Netflix and the Spotify [deals]… that was never part of the plan,” Harry told Oprah, according to Page Six [2]. “We didn’t have a plan. That was suggested by somebody else by the point of where my family literally cut me off financially, and I had to afford… security for us.”

Meghan and Harry signed multi-million dollar deals with Netflix and Spotify in September of last year.

This comes after Archbishop Justin Welby revealed that Meghan and Harry were not telling the truth when they told Oprah that they had actually gotten married in a private ceremony three days before the televised one in May of 2018.

Welby told Fox News [3] that it is indeed his signature on Meghan and Harry’s wedding certificate, and he added that their legal wedding took place on Saturday, May 19, 2018, which was the day viewers around the world tuned in for the ceremony.

“If any of you ever talk to a priest, you expect them to keep that talk confidential. It doesn’t matter who I’m talking to. I had a number of private and pastoral meetings with the duke and duchess before the wedding. The legal wedding was on the Saturday,” Welby said.

“I signed the wedding certificate, which is a legal document, and I would have committed a serious criminal offense if I signed it knowing it was false,” he added. “So you can make what you like about it. But the legal wedding was on the Saturday. But I won’t say what happened at any other meetings,”
