In a new study from the nonpartisan Center for Effective Lawmaking, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was found to be among the least effective members of the last Congress. Without needing a study, we can say most conservatives will not be shocked by this groundbreaking new information.
AOC has introduced 21 bills and received no action in committees, no floor votes, and has never authored anything that has become law. Remember the 14-page Green New Deal? It didn’t even get a vote.
The study concluded that when looking at legislative effectiveness of all congressional Democrats, she ranked 230 out of 240.
AOC has accomplished one thing, killing a lot of trees with her dead bills. Here’s a list of just some of her proposed legislation that has thankfully failed to see a vote:
-
Climate Equity Act of 2020
-
Badge Transparency Act of 2020
-
Prohibiting Law Enforcement Use of Chemical Weapons Act
-
Pandemic Anti-Monopoly Act of 2020
-
Corporate Accountability Act
-
Pandemic Disaster Assistance Act of 2020
-
Fracking Ban Act
-
Green New Deal for Public Housing Act
-
A Just Society: The Uplift Our Workers Act
-
The Recognizing Poverty Act
-
Recognizing the duty of the Federal Government to create a Green New Deal.
It seems that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is much better at Tweeting than legislating.
