Instead of focusing on issues that really matter like the border crisis or the stagnant economy, President Biden is content stoking the age-old rival between Democrats and Republicans. Even though Biden was the one to call for unity among the parties and people, he appears to be doing the complete opposite as he encouraged the MLB All-Star game to relocate from Georgia due to the recent election laws that were passed.

Making a rare appearance on ESPN, President Biden sat down to enjoy a handful of softball questions that were more than likely pre-picked. While going through the usual motions, Biden was asked about his thoughts on Tony Clark, the executive director of the MLB Players Association, who expressed moving the All-Star game to punish the GOP and Governor Brian Kemp for passing the new laws.

Forgetting about unity and bipartisanship, Biden answered, “I think that today’s professional athletes are acting incredibly responsibly. I would strongly support them doing that,” Biden responded. “People look to them, they’re leaders. Look at what’s happened with the NBA as well. Look at what’s happened across the board. The people who’ve been victimized the most are the people who are the leaders in these various sports and it’s just not right.”

Barely making a single mistake, Biden pressed harder on the issue that he called “Jim Crow on steroids”.

“Imagine passing a law saying you cannot provide water or food for someone standing in line to vote, can’t do that? C’mon!” the president exclaimed. “Or you’re going to close a polling place at 5 o’clock when working people just get off? This is all about keeping working folks and ordinary folks that I grew up with from being able to vote.”

While Biden appears to be fighting a just cause, it should be noted that most of his claims about the new election laws in Georgia are simply – FALSE. Washington Post fact-checker Glenn Kessler not only labeled Biden’s speech the “Four-Pinocchio Claim” but he also proved that voters will have access to “self-service water from an unattended receptacle” while they wait in line to vote.

As for polls closing at 5 o’clock, that is another false statement. The main change to the current voting law is that every voter will have to show proper ID and it limits the number of drop-off boxes.
