While top Democrats like AOC, Kamala Harris, and President Biden reassure the American people there is no crisis at the border, they themselves have yet to even visit the area to see it for themselves. VP Harris simply laughed at the idea of her visiting while AOC appears too busy making Instagram stories to bother with migrant children. But while the Democrats refuse to address the problem, stories like this next one show how innocent and deadly the border can be.

On Tuesday night while most were sleeping, smugglers were busy trying to gain entry into the United States. Unfortunately, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection witnessed as smugglers scaled the 14-foot barrier only to drop two children over the side. Again, that is a 14-foot drop that both children, aged three and five, endured without any form of safety measures. Not even waiting to make sure they were safe and unharmed, the smugglers quickly disappeared back into the night.

With the video of the incident going viral, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection released a statement saying, “Responding agents found the three-year-old and five-year-old Ecuadoran children and rendered aid to them. The two toddlers are sisters and both were alert when agents made contact with them. Agents contacted Emergency Medical Services and the toddlers were transported to a local hospital for precautionary reasons and further evaluation. The two girls were medically cleared and currently remain in Border Patrol temporary holding pending placement by Health and Human Services.”

On top of releasing a statement, El Paso Sector Chief Patrol Agent Gloria I. Chavez tweeted the incident with the caption, “Smugglers, under cover of night, scaled a 14 ft. border barrier and cruelly dropped 2 young children in the middle of the New Mexico desert. The girls, ages 3 & 5, were left miles from the nearest residence. Thank you STN Agents for rescuing these children!”

Luckily, both children are safe and being taken care of, but Chavez wants the ruthless people that would throw children over the border. She told reporters, “We are currently working with our law enforcement partners in Mexico and attempting to identify these ruthless human smugglers so as to hold them accountable to the fullest extent of the law.”
