Trump Bashes Biden While Discussing DeSantis As Potential Running Mate

It appears no matter the results of the 2020 election, Donald Trump has become a permanent fixture in the Republican party. While others like Hillary Clinton disappeared after her historic loss, former President Trump did the complete opposite by continuing to campaign and hint at a potential 2024 Presidential run. If he is able to achieve another victory, he would only be the second person in history to do so. With that in mind, Trump sat down with Fox Business to discuss Biden, the White House, and potential running mates.

During the interview, Trump was sure to lash out at the Democratic White House for their ongoing attacks on himself and the recent raid of Rudy Giuliani’s residence. But the interview really started to heat up when Trump discussed the horrible situation President Biden has made of the Southern Border. It’s no surprise that Trump would talk about the border when no other President was more strict or had better results than him. But what really surprised Trump was how Biden completely forgot to mention the border in his address to Congress.

“He didn’t discuss the border and the fact that tens of thousands of people are pouring into our country, many of them criminals, many of them, people from jails, many of them doing acts that you don’t even want to know about. The wall is almost completed. It would have been completed if I didn’t get sued by Congress and the Democrats every single moment — and we beat those cases. And they just don’t want to finish it.”

Bartiromo continued to steer the conversation back to the question everybody is wondering. Is Donald Trump going to run in 2024? Flashing a grin, Trump didn’t disclose any more details about his future in politics but did say that he was 100% thinking about it.

In another interview on Wednesday, Trump also said that the appropriate time to announce would most likely be right after the 2022 midterms. But while the Republican Party will have to wait a little longer to see if MAGA will return, Trump did give some insight to who would most likely be his running mate when asked about Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

DeSantis has become somewhat of another powerhouse within the Republican Party, with some calling for him to run himself in 2024. As for the potential of serving under Donald Trump, the former President said, “He is a friend of mine. Certainly, Ron would be considered. I endorsed Ron, and after I endorsed him, he took off like a rocket ship. He’s done a great job as governor. They like that. I’m just saying what I read and you read. They love that ticket.”

So while the Democrats are slowly losing their grasp on Washington, it appears Trump is secretly assembling a team of Republican titans set on reclaiming the White House.
