On Friday and throughout the weekend President Donald Trump did what he does best, he started a crusade against the woke left. Bravo.

Regardless of what you may think of him in the past or now, if you are a conservative the former president should be given a standing ovation today for this fight, a fight urged by this publication not less than a week ago.

FNC: “Former President Donald Trump fired a high, hard fastball at Major League Baseball on Friday night, urging fans to boycott the ‘national pastime’ over its decision to pull this year’s All-Star Game from the Atlanta area. Trump asserted that MLB’s leadership was ‘afraid of the Radical Left Democrats,’ claiming the party pressured the league to relocate its mid-summer game because of Georgia’s new election law, recently signed by Republican Gov. Brian Kemp. The former president also took aim at large ‘woke’ corporations that issued statements against the Georgia law…Meanwhile, former President Barack Obama on Saturday praised the MLB’s move, saying it’s a fitting way to honor former Braves Hall of Famer Hank Aaron, who broke down racial barriers during his storied career.

‘Congratulations to [MLB] for taking a stand on behalf of voting rights for all citizens,’ Obama tweeted Saturday. ‘There’s no better way for America’s pastime to honor the great Hank Aaron, who always led by example.’ President Biden, who called the new GOP voting law ‘sick’ and ‘Jim Crow on steroids,’ also supported moving the July game from the Braves’ home field of Atlanta’s Truist Park to another location.”

But Trump hit back, hard. “Baseball is already losing tremendous numbers of fans,” Trump wrote, “and now they leave Atlanta with their All-Star Game because they are afraid of the Radical Left Democrats who do not want voter I.D., which is desperately needed, to have anything to do with our elections…Boycott baseball and all of the woke companies that are interfering with Free and Fair Elections. Are you listening Coke, Delta, and all!”

Governor Kemp also responded. “When you look at New York’s voting laws, you have to have an excuse to vote absentee by-mail in New York. You do not in Georgia.” The Georgia reform bill expands voters’ rights. But it stops Democrat cheating. Hence the brouhaha.
