Finally getting cozy in the position of President, Joe Biden is starting to open up more to reporters while he gears up for his upcoming “car rally” in Georgia. Most recently, Biden praised his COVID-19 response and even took a jab at former President, Donald Trump. But while Biden touts his 200 million vaccines given, it appears that number might not be accurate as certain states are entertaining the idea of paying people to get vaccinated.

Over the past several months, there have been stories of free doughnuts and other goodies for people who have decided to get vaccinated. On the other side, there have also been numerous perks for not getting vaccinated, but either way – the Governor of West Virginia has decided to trump all the advantages and offer cold hard cash…

In recent polling, analysts revealed that Americans aged 18-34 were most hesitant to get the vaccine. This most likely had to due to the fact that COVID-19 symptoms are less fatal in younger people and the virus can be easily fought off.

With that in mind, Governor Jim Justice had a plan to help get young adults vaccinated. Pay them. And that is exactly what he plans on doing for anyone aged 16-35. If they decide to get the vaccine, the state will give them a $100 savings bond.

According to Justice, the plan would only cost around $27.5 million, which could be taken from the COVID-19 stimulus fund. And in case there aren’t enough bonds to go around, the governor promised the state would start handing out crisp $100 bills.

Excited about the initiative, Gov. Justice isn’t leaving out those who have already been vaccinated either. He said, “We’re going to give every single one of these people — the people that have already stepped up, our young people, our young people that have already stepped up and been vaccinated — and every single one of our young people. We’re going to give a $100 savings bond to every single one that steps up and takes their vaccine.”

So while Biden continues to praise his efforts and bathe in the glory, it seems that the Republicans are the ones really hard at work, trying to keep the country safe.
