No matter how much the Democrats want to deny it, Donald Trump is back. For months, the former President has stood somewhat on the sidelines as Sleepy Joe Biden tarnished and completely destroyed his legacy. But unlike Hillary Clinton in 2016 and Biden during the COVID-19 pandemic, Trump wasn’t running and he definitely wasn’t hiding. If the Democrats have learned it yet, Trump is a man of timing and the North Carolina Republican Convention was his moment to shine.
Americans have become accustomed to the usual speech from Biden. It entails him reading from a gigantic teleprompter and constantly stumbling around the stage. And who can forget his rants he goes off on. But on Saturday, Trump gave a rousing speech showing what true leadership looks like.
Trump didn’t focus on the constant attacks from big tech, instead, he pointed out the people that matter – Americans. He said, “They want to silence you; they want to silence your voice. Remember, I am not the one trying to undermine American democracy. I’m the one that’s trying to save it. Please remember that.”
And if you were wondering just how the Democrats are trying to silence your voice, take a look at the 2020 election. Audit after audit has shown errors and manipulation, yet Biden walks around the White House as if he seriously won. But instead of focusing on the past, Trump said, “We all know what happened with the election, and we can never, ever let that happen again. We’re not going to have a country if you don’t have election integrity, and if you don’t have strong borders, our country can be run like a dictatorship, and that’s what they’d like to do.”
Even before his speech, Trump sent out a video addressing Republican voters and what the future holds.”We’re going to take back the Senate, we’re going to take back the House, and we’re going to take back the White House sooner than you think. It’s going to be really something special. But the love and the affection and the respect you’ve given all of us, it’s really important. The Republican Party is stronger than it’s ever been, and it’s going to be a lot stronger than it is right now.”
