New Polls Finds Voter Severely Misinformed On The Southern Border Crisis Thanks To Media

While the Democrats are known for fumbling their speeches and dodging any problem, they have been rather successful at burying the crisis that is happening at the Southern Border. Although the left is behind the censorship, big tech and media outlets also played their part, downplaying the influx as nothing but normal. And sadly, a new poll shows that Americans are buying into the narrative being pushed. 85% of Americans believe the number of illegal immigrants crossing the border is far lower than what data shows. Again, that data is cold, hard facts. Still, one in five voters will underestimate the number of immigrants crossing by a staggering 90%.

Here are the facts, close to a million immigrants crossed the U.S. border in the first six months of Joe Biden being President. According to data presented by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, 180,034 illegal immigrants crossed in May alone. That is a 20-year high. To date, in 2021 alone, the total number of illegal aliens crossing is 929,868. That is dangerously close to the total number of 2019, which was 977,509.

A recent Harvard/Harris poll revealed that 21% of voters believe the numbers are being greatly exaggerated and the true number is less than 10,000 a month. More than half of those polled thought the number was around 50,000 a month. But again, thanks to the data presented, the real number is between 150,000 and 200,000.

And for those that might not trust the polls, Border Agent John Anfinsen told reporters the average number of immigrants they encounter on a weekly basis. “On a weekly basis we are somewhere between 6,000 to 7,000 in a week, wherein years past, 2,000 would be a lot.”

As for what may help curb the influx of immigrants, Agent Anfinsen said, “Any physical barrier that we put up will help. Until we deal with things like businesses that employ people who are illegally present in the U.S., until we deal with an asylum system that is, frankly, being abused, there is no incentive for people to not come.”

Although the poll found majority of people misinformed, it should be noted that 61% of voters placed the blame for the Southern Border crisis not on former President Donald Trump, but none other than Joe Biden and his VP, Kamala Harris.
