Senator Rand Paul Announce Criminal Actions Against Dr. Fauci For Lying About COVID-19 To Congress

Since the COVID-19 outbreak was first announced, Americans have turned to scientists and experts to tell them how to stay safe and ultimately defeat the virus. Sadly, the person most people turned to was Mr. Flip Flop himself, Dr. Anthony Fauci. Being the director at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Fauci fought against former President Donald Trump who claimed the virus escaped from the Wuhan Institute of Virology. But, as the last few months have shown, Trump was right about the virus’s origins. As for Dr. Fauci, hoping to save his career, lied to Congress about his connection with the Chinese institute. And although Democrats aren’t seeking criminal actions against Dr. Facui, one Republican isn’t letting the good doctor get away so easily.

While appearing on Fox News’s Sean Hannity, Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky announced that he would be seeking criminal actions against both Dr. Fauci and his employer, saying the doctors, “should be punished.”

Agreeing that Dr. Fauci should be held accountable, Hannity even recalled when Paul reminded the doctor about the dangers of lying to Congress. “You kicked off your questioning of Dr. Fauci, emphasizing federal law makes lying to Congress a felony punishable by up to five years in prison. Is it your belief based on the evidence, Senator, that he lied before Congress and broke the law?”

Knowing that Dr. Fauci is responsible for not only spreading misinformation but also working to cover up its origin, Paul responded, “Yes, and I will be sending a letter to the Department of Justice asking for a criminal referral because he has lied to Congress,” Paul replied. “We have scientists that were lined up by the dozens to say that the research he was funding was gain-of-function. He’s doing this because he has a self-interest to cover his tracks and to cover his connection to Wuhan lab. Now, does he deserve all the blame? No, there’s still some conjecture as to whether or not it came from the lab. But he’s lying about whether or not he funded gain-of-function research, and yes, he should be punished.”
