Stacey Abrams Buys Homes Worth $1.4 Million While Claiming To Be Drowning In Debt

The Democrats might not know how to handle a pandemic or even run a country, but when it comes to making money – they are true mavericks. Just look at Governor Andrew Cuomo who received millions for a book deal about handling COVID-19 when he actually lied about it. Then there is Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Khan-Cullors who bought multiple homes ranging in the millions of dollars. And who could remotely forget about Joe Biden and his famous “pay to play” political scheme? With many Democrats making millions, it appears it was Stacey Abrams’s time to cash in as well.

Here is a little refresher – Abrams is a former gubernatorial candidate in Georgia who famously lost in 2018. She was hoping to not only change the state blue but be the one to lead it into the future. But as mentioned above, it did work out that way as residents voted for Republican Brian Kemp. But it appears it wasn’t all that bad as Abrams purchased two homes worth $1.4 million following her failed campaign.

What is even more interesting is how Abrams was able to afford the homes when she reported staggering amounts of debt in – 2018. During her campaign, Abrams supposedly owed the IRS $54,000 in back taxes. And that is on top of $174,000 in student loans and credit cards. With that much crippling debt, Abrams still found a way to purchase a 3,300 square foot home in Stone Mountain for $370,000.

As for her second residence, in October 2020, Abrams bought a home in Atlanta for a staggering $975,000. And what about all that debt she had? Apparently, she repaid all her student loans, credit cards, and back taxes in May of 2019. Although a failed candidate, Abrams continues to make money for speaking events where she charges anywhere between $50,000 and $100,000.

While Abrams continues to campaign in the name of those less fortunate, hoping to right the wrongs done to millions of black Americans, it appears just like the BLM co-founder – it’s all about cashing in and little about bettering the lives of hardworking citizens.
