It doesn’t take too long to remember back to last year when it comes to Andrew Cuomo. It was long before today’s autopsies.

Then, before Tuesday’s resignation, Cuomo was the toast of the town to a certain sort of person. No matter that gutsy people like Janice Dean and Ron Kim tried to warn about Cuomo’s malfeasance that had killed scores in New York nursing homes. No matter his reputation in Albany as a creep when it came to women.

A particular class of people lauded Cuomo as the “luv guv”, said he was the go to guy if Biden faltered in the election campaign, even said they had a crush on him and dreamed about dating him. Can you imagine?

Are you embarrassed to have Joe Biden as America's "President"?

What kind of bridge and tunnel personality propelled such carnal worship? “I’ve always been a soft guy,” the former guv told his brother at one point. “I am the Luv Guv. I’m a cool dude in a loose mood. You know that. I just say let it go. Just go with the flow, baby.” Dear God…

Left-wing pundit Molly Jong-Fast, in a Vogue piece headlined, “Why We Are Crushing on Andrew Cuomo Right Now,” meowed all over her “love” for Cuomo and his “soothing” voice, calling him her “imaginary boyfriend.” “There’s something nice about having someone in government whom you can actually trust,” Jong-Fast wrote. Bolshevik website Jezebel posted a column, “Help, I Think I’m In Love With Andrew Cuomo???”. Am I the only one tasting bile?

But now they’ve never heard of him and took a big part in driving him from office. Did Cuomo change that much in a year? No. But his political value had. Notice those Democrats and their media lapdogs who hound him now have said nothing about the thousands dead in the nursing homes. They’re silent on the hypocrisy of a man who called for the media lynching of Republicans falsely accused of what Cuomo actually did. You know why? They didn’t and don’t care. Once Cuomo was no longer useful to them he was yesterday’s trash.

For most Democrats, it wasn’t about Cuomo’s principles, his performance as a governor, or legislation he got through Albany. It really wasn’t even about the victims of his sexual misdeeds. It was about the pure power he could wield because that’s the only thing most Democrats understand. Andrew Cuomo was one of them and played by their rules. Those very rules were his undoing. Couldn’t have happened to a more deserving luv guv.
