On Thursday night, President Joe Biden spoke out to say that police officers and first responders who defy vaccine mandates should be fired.

Last month, Biden issued a vaccine mandate or weekly testing for private companies with 100 or more employees. Liberal leaders in cities like Chicago and New York have also put vaccine mandates in place for police officers and first responders. This came up last night in Biden’s CNN Town Hall.

“As many as one-in-three emergency responders in some cities like Chicago, Los Angeles, right here in Baltimore, are refusing to comply with city vaccine mandates,” said host Anderson Cooper, according to The Daily Caller. “I’m wondering where you stand on that. Should police officers, emergency responders be mandated to get vaccines? And if not, should they be – stay at home or let go?”

“Yes and yes,” Biden quickly replied. “By the way … I waited until July to talk about mandating because I tried everything else possible. The mandates are working.”

Biden went on to say that despite pushback on vaccine mandates from airlines, the majority of employees “have gotten the vaccine.” He then alleged that talk of people leaving the military over mandates is “not true” and criticized those trying “to make this a political issue.”

“‘Freedom,'” Biden said mockingly, referring to those who say they should have the freedom to choose whether or not to get vaccinated. “‘I have the freedom to kill you with my COVID.’ No, I mean, come on. Freedom. Number one. Number two … the gross misinformation that’s out there.”

Biden doubled down by saying that there is “so much misinformation” before pointing out the Fox News vaccine mandate. Biden said that he finds this mandate “fascinating” and joked that he’s at “3% favorability” at the network.

“I find that mildly fascinating. Mildly fascinating,” Biden concluded.

Rep. Elise Stefanik fired back at Biden for calling his mocking of the “freedom” to choose whether or not to get vaccinated as “un-American.”

“My reaction is this is absolutely absurd, and sadly it’s very typical of Joe Biden and the Biden administration to attack Americans’ everyday freedoms,” Stefanik told Fox News. “First of all, they’re turning their backs on law enforcement officers and first responders who put their lives and their health on the line every single day, particularly during the COVID pandemic.”

“These mandates are unconstitutional, and it’s an attack on our very freedoms in this country and to have the President of the United States mock freedom, frankly, that’s un-American,” she added.

Americans everywhere should have the freedom to choose what exactly goes into their bodies. The fact that the president is mocking this freedom is deeply disturbing.
