Pres. Biden Claims Turning Point In COVID-19 As Deaths Continue To Set Records

At this point, anything that President Joe Biden says during press conferences instantly becomes internet gold as he continuously fumbles over his words, wanders off with reason, and completely presents false facts. That doesn’t even touch on the several crises his Administration is currently trying to avoid. The withdrawal in Afghanistan, the Southern border crisis, the stalled economy. That’s just a few. Still, speaking at an event on the White House property, President Biden suggested America was on the brink of turning a corner when it comes to COVID-19. While that sounds amazing, facts and data paint an entirely different picture.

Trying not to forget his words, Biden stated, “God willing, I think we’re just about to turn the corner again on the pandemic.”

Hoping to win over some voters, Biden’s claims about the pandemic backfired on him when people pointed to a study done by Johns Hopkins University. The study showed that more than 335,000 deaths have been caused by COVID-19 since the beginning of this year. Johns Hopkins University also conducted a similar study in 2020 and found that the year only had a little over 352,000 deaths. With those stats, Biden’s statement isn’t just wrong – it’s a blatant lie.

It should also be noted that President Biden’s comments come after a recent poll showed that a majority of Americans, 52 percent, said Biden’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic was either fair or poor.

After spending most of 2020 bashing the Trump administration about how they were handling the virus, Biden promised to let science guide the way. He famously discussed how America was dealing with the virus under former President Donald Trump, saying, “We’re not learning to live with it. We’re learning to die with it.”

But as the numbers don’t lie, Biden continues to push forward with his mandatory vaccine mandate, suggesting, “This is not about freedom or personal choice. It’s about protecting yourself and those around you.”
