In the last couple of months, the Democrats have done a complete reversal when it comes to their stance on police. During the 2020 election, the Democrats and Joe Biden sided with the grassroots movement Black Lives Matter when they pushed for police departments around the country to be defunded. But now that crime is on the rise yet again, multiple Democratic strongholds like Chicago have seen record waves in crime sprees. From looting to murder, while the Democrats might have wanted to only win an election, they single-handedly led to many departments being defunding. But now that crime is on the rise, the Democrats are backing away from their stance, even claiming they never backed defunding the police. Only if the internet could forget.

Knowing the Democrats are trying to convince America the crime crisis isn’t due to them, the Republican National Committee (RNC) released a video highlighting all the times liberal politicians were caught supporting defunding the police. 

Having more than enough material to work from, the RNC dropped a seven-minute video of just a few of the most memorable moments from the Democrats bashing the same police who supposedly put their lives on the line during the Capitol Hill riot. 

In the video below, Republicans take aim at some of the most prominent figures in the Democratic Party right now. They include Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and Representative Cori Bush, who literally said, “Suck it up. Defunding the police has to happen. We need to defund the police.”

The video also presents former presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke saying, “You don’t have one bad apple. You don’t have four bad apples. You have a system-wide problem in that police department. And only by completely dismantling that system and rebuilding it intentionally with the community members at the table do you have any hope of getting it right.”
