No matter how the Democrats and the liberal media try to spin it, the wins in Virginia and New Jersey are just the beginning of the wave of red in Washington. With the 2022 midterm elections right around the corner, many projections show Republicans gaining massive power. As for President Joe Biden, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and the rest of the Democrats – it doesn’t look good. In fact, it looks downright savage as a new ABC News/Washington Post survey revealed that Republican candidates hold the largest lead over their opponent that hasn’t been seen since 1981.

According to the new poll that was conducted among registered voters, the current preference for Republicans over Democrats is a staggering 10 points. It sits at 51% and 41%. Again, that is the highest since 1981 when Ronald Reagan was president.

Explaining their findings, ABC News said, “That’s the biggest lead for Republicans in the 110 ABC/Post polls that have asked this question since November 1981. Indeed, it’s only the second time the GOP has held a statistically significant advantage (the other was +7 points in January 2002) and the ninth time it’s held any numerical edge at all.”

Although there is still around a year to go before the voters cast their vote in the midterm elections, the polls show that the Democrats have an enormous amount of work ahead of them. And that is on top of the Southern border crisis and inflation.

Surprisingly, that isn’t all the poll revealed as a massive 70% of voters believed the economy was heading in the wrong direction.  The outlet added, “Now, 55% disapprove of Biden’s economic performance — 6 points more than former President Donald Trump’s highest disapproval rating on the economy in September 2017. Just over a year later, Trump’s Republicans lost 40 House seats in the 2018 midterms.”

While there wasn’t much good news for Biden or the Democrats, it should be noted that 35% of independent voters said they approved of President Biden. So, he does have that going for him.
