PALM BEACH, FL – While former President Donald Trump might be silent on the 2024 Presidential election, it appears when it comes to speaking about the withdrawal in Afghanistan, like most Americans, he has some complaints.

Under President Joe Biden and the Democrats, the end of a war that spanned over two decades came to a dismal end as 13 U.S. service members lost their lives.

And although President Biden refrains from talking about it, Trump didn’t mind breaching the subject and giving his true opinion on the matter. 

Speaking during an event at the Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida, Trump didn’t place all the blame on Biden as he targeted General Mark Milley and the role he played in the withdrawal from Afghanistan. 

Not forgetting the treasure trove of weapons, munitions, vehicles, and helicopters that were left behind, Trump added, “I said, the moment we get out, I want every nut, every bolt, every screw… we’re taking everything, we’re taking down the tents. They left all the tents. They left everything.”

In the video above, Trump detailed how  Gen. Milley informed him that it would be cheaper to leave all the equipment behind. Trump, shocked, said, “You think it’s cheaper to leave it there so they can have it than it is to fill it up with a half tank of gas and fly it into Pakistan or fly it back to our country?” He would later add, “That’s when I realized he was a f**king idiot.”

Drawing cheers from the crowd, Trump was speaking at the event held for the Turning Point Action, which is a conservative organization.
