With the first year of the Biden Presidency coming to an end, many Americans are shocked that there are still three more years to go before another election. Already, the projections are showing the GOP gaining significant power in midterm elections. The 2024 Presidential election doesn’t look good for the Democrats either. But until then it appears the Biden administration continues to crumble as top staffers to Vice President Kamala Harris have announced their resignations at the end of the year. And with Harris’s contributions and whereabouts always unknown, over a dozen current and former staffers to the VP admitted to the Washington Post that working for her meant “a constant amount of soul-destroying criticism.”

For months, the press and Americans have wondered just where Harris has been. When Joe Biden supposedly won the election, Harris was one of the first people to call him. They appeared to be a team heading into the White House, but now – Harris is nowhere to be seen, and there are even reports the Biden administration might be looking for a change.

One of the accusers is a former Democratic strategist and aide to Harris, Gil Duran. He admitted, “One of the things we’ve said in our little text groups among each other is what is the common denominator through all this and it’s her. ” In a separate interview, Duran added, “Who are the next talented people you’re going to bring in and burn through and then have (them) pretend they’re retiring for positive reasons.”

Another former staffer revealed, “It’s clear that you’re not working with somebody who is willing to do the prep and the work. With Kamala you have to put up with a constant amount of soul-destroying criticism and also her own lack of confidence. So you’re constantly sort of propping up a bully and it’s not really clear why.”

The most recent departures from Harris’s team are the vice president’s communications chief, Ashley Etienne, and her chief spokesperson, Symone Sanders.

Working double duty for Biden and Harris, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki spun a narrative as to why the VP was burning through staffers. “In my experience, and if you look at past precedent, it’s natural for staffers who have thrown their heart and soul into a job to be ready to move on to a new challenge after a few years. And that is applicable to many of these individuals. It’s also an opportunity, as it is in any White House, to bring in new faces, new voices and new perspectives.”
