There appears to be an effect happening in America where citizens are doing the complete opposite of what the Biden administration is saying to do. Not only are Americans fighting against the COVID-19 jab mandates, but it was President Joe Biden who sought to ban certain assault rifles, handguns, and high-capacity magazines. And just like COVID-19, it seems Americans are defying President Biden’s attempt to take guns away as over 5 million citizens became first-time gun owners in 2021 alone. It should also be noted these sales rocketed among women, Asians, Hispanics, and African Americans.

Speaking on the report from The Washington Examiner,  the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), Joe Bartozzi, noted, “The surveys revealed that new gun owners are continuing to embrace their Second Amendment rights, and nearly half of them are seeking out professional training. These trends show that not only is there still a strong interest in gun ownership but also that these new gun owners are interested in learning more about the safe and responsible handling, use, and storage of firearms.”

The NSSF released its own annual report “Firearm Retailer Survey”, which as mentioned above, found that more than one-third of buyers in 2021 were women. Among Hispanic buyers, the percentage climbed to 40%. African Americans saw a 44% increase with Asians seeing 27%.

Back in July, President Biden would take a hard stance against the selling of weapons in the United States. At the time, he said, “I’m the only guy that ever got passed legislation, when I was a senator, to make sure we eliminated assault weapons. The idea you need a weapon that can have the ability to fire 20, 30, 40, 50, 120 shots from that weapon, whether it’s a 9-millimeter pistol or whether it’s a rifle is ridiculous. I’m continuing to push to eliminate the sale of those things.”

While Biden continues to try and limit the sale of firearms, with the rise of COVID-19, government overreach, and the future in question, it seems Americans are no longer listening to the man who claimed he would unify the country.
