The incident reportedly occurred on January 17th after dispatchers received a report of a nude man walking near a learning center in Deerfield Beach. Assistant State Attorney Eric Linder stated that McDowell had even entered the property of the learning center while nude. He said that children were inside of the facility at the time.
Per the arrest report, McDowell allegedly rushed a deputy at the scene “at full speed with a closed fist” and a scuffle ensued between the deputy and the suspect. The deputy reportedly had to use their taser to get McDowell under control, and he was subsequently taken into custody.

While authorities haven’t provided any possible motive for the unusual incident, an attorney for McDowell claims that “somebody may have slipped him something or given him something he was unaware of, which explains some of his bizarre behavior.”
This isn’t McDowell’s first brush with the law, as back in 2017 he was arrested for DUI and disorderly conduct and in 2019 he was charged for assault, resisting arrest, and operating a vehicle while intoxicated. The 2019 charges resulted in McDowell being sentenced to 11 months in jail.
McDowell was booked into the Broward County Jail following his arrest and it is unclear as of this time whether he’s posted bond.
