The ink was hardly dry on his inauguration oath when new NYC Mayor Eric Adams decided to sell out the American franchise and simultaneously write himself a political insurance policy.

FNC: “New York City Mayor Eric Adams on Sunday stood by his support of legislation the city council passed in December that will allow roughly 800,000 legal noncitizens to vote in local elections after earlier expressing concerns over the bill.”

That’s right. Physically be present in New York City and you get to vote. Not a citizen? Cool. Visiting for a bit? No problem. It’s part of the continuing process of making places like NYC and San Francisco authoritarian socialist one party city states, as Adams knows that those 800,000 new voters will overwhelmingly vote Democrat.

He’s skipping the middle man of an open door policy and doing what other Democrats want to do on the border, which is flood the joint with potential Democrat voters and end Republican success in Texas. They know without Texas Republicans cannot win the White House. That’s what the entire open border move is about, about in the end what Adams just did in NYC. That is, enfranchise foreigners to give supreme and perpetual power to Democrats.

We recently wrote that Adams may be able to crack down on some crime in New York City, but that he was hostage to the usual Democrat ideology on other matters. This is quick for even us to be proven right. Democrats usually take a month or so to go down that route.

Here’s Adams on the issue: “I believe that New Yorkers should have a say in their government, which is why I have and will continue to support this important legislation,” Adams took office at the start of 2022. “While I initially had some concerns about one aspect of the bill, I had a productive dialogue with my colleagues in government that put those concerns at ease. I believe allowing the legislation to be enacted is by far the best choice, and look forward to bringing millions more into the democratic process.”

It was “more important not to veto the bill or get in the way at all, allow the bill to move forward…I think it is imperative that people who are in a local municipality have the right to decide who is going to govern them,” Adams said. “This is a great opportunity to be a member of this great country,” Adams said. “Don’t let anything daunt you or take you away from that mission. This legislation is not going to do that. Keep becoming a citizen of this country.” At least he called us a great country. Probably doesn’t believe that as well.

It is an absurdity to let foreigners decide American elections. The very same people who screamed about fictitious Russian involvement in the 2016 election now welcome and legitimize foreign political involvement in a Democrat run city. The hypocrisy is staggering, yet completely expected.
