A recent Heartland Institute and Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey showed that large percentages of Democrats want some pretty harsh Covid-related restrictions imposed.

While voters are apparently split at 48% agreeing with Biden’s attempted vaccine mandate for large companies and 48% disagreeing, 78% of Democrat voters agree with the mandate and only 22% of Republicans agree with it (which is actually quite high for Republicans).

Approval of Dr. Fauci is also split by voters, with 45% having a favorable view of him and 48% having an unfavorable view of him. Seventy-five percent of Democrat voters have a favorable opinion of Fauci.

The survey found that 55% of Democrat voters would support government imposing fines on those who decline to take a Covid shot. Likewise, 59% of Democrats would confine those who decline a shot to their homes except in the case of an emergency.

Rasmussen reported, “Nearly half (48%) of Democratic voters think federal and state governments should be able to fine or imprison individuals who publicly question the efficacy of the existing COVID-19 vaccines on social media, television, radio, or in online or digital publications.”

When asked about confining a person who refuses a shot to “designated facilities,” 45% of Democrats said they would. Forty-seven percent of Democrats would be in favor of a government digital tracking system to keep tabs on those who do not have a Covid shot.

A whopping 29% of Democrats believe it is warranted to remove children from the custody of their parents “temporarily” if the parent hasn’t received a Covid shot.

The survey was taken of 1,016 U.S. Likely Voters and was conducted on January 5, 2022 by the Heartland Institute and Rasmussen Reports. Rasmussen reported that the margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence.

To sum up, if you have not received a Covid shot, 55% of Democrats want to fine you, 59% want you confined to your home, 48% want you fined or imprisoned for questioning vaccine efficacy, 45% want you forced into “designated facilities,” 46% want you digitally tracked, and 29% want to take your children.
