A person in politics is many times defined better by their enemies than by their friends. As such, Senator Kyrsten Sinema, Democrat of Arizona, is doing an excellent job. That’s why her state party censured her. Can’t have her protecting the Senate. That would be good for America. And that’s something Democrats can’t abide by.

FNC: “The Arizona Democratic Party Saturday formally censured Sen. Krysten Sinema, D-Ariz., for refusing to roll back the Senate filibuster in order to pass a Democrat voting change bill.

The executive board Saturday made the public rebuke following Sinema’s vote this week to keep the 60-vote threshold in the Senate, along with Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., and all Senate Republicans. Her decision helped scuttle President Biden’s goal of passing major election changes.
The board action Saturday is the result of a resolution Arizona Democratic Party state committee members passed in the fall that authorized the executive board to censure Sinema if she chose to protect the filibuster and obstruct that legislation.”

“I want to be clear, the Arizona Democratic Party is a diverse coalition with plenty of room for policy disagreements, however on the matter of the filibuster and the urgency to protect voting rights, we have been crystal clear,” Arizona Democratic Party Chair Raquel Terán said in a statement. “In the choice between an archaic legislative norm and protecting Arizonans’ right to vote, we choose the latter, and we always will.” Nope. Sinema bucked the Left. This is the price.
“While we take no pleasure in this announcement, the ADP Executive Board has decided to formally censure Senator Sinema as a result of her failure to do whatever it takes to ensure the health of our democracy,” she wrote. Nope. She takes great pleasure. Democrats live for revenge.
“During three terms in the U.S. House, and now in the Senate, Kyrsten has always promised Arizonans she would be an independent voice for the state — not for either political party,” Sinema’s office said in a statement to press. “She’s delivered for Arizonans and has always been honest about where she stands.” Says Sinema, “[W]hile I continue to support these bills, I will not support separate actions that worsen the underlying disease of division affecting our country.”

Sinema, may have been censured but she won more friends Han any loss of sensible democrats
Not more than a couple years ago, when someone wanted to remove the filibuster, numerous Dems squealed and squalled like the spoiled brats they are about how our “Democracy will be ruined”, and other platitudes. Yet, when it would serve them be allowing no checks on the right to vote, meaning many more Dem votes in elections, they’re claiming that it will be an unfair advantage to the other side. These people are despicable and power mad. Sinema did the right thing.
I think the democrat party is an emeny of the people. Sinema, has the right to follow her mind on whats right, to bad the good for nothing democrats don’t learn from her. I commend you Sinema for sticking to your guns. You are good for Arizona, Keep up the good you are trying to do.
I have to agree with you, Donna. One democrat that isn’t a traitor to her state, country and Constitution? Will she continue to stick to her guns? If she does, she’s in for a rough handling — by her own party.
Sinema stood up to Left and represented AZ and America. The filibuster isn’t some old rule that needs to be thrown out. As Sinema has said, it forces the majority to work with the minority to develop better bills. I don;t know why the Democrats continue to try to force these Democrat only bills.
Thank you Senator Sinema for standing up for America and AZ.
Sinema and Manchin deserve credit for doing right for America. We don’t need another government “one size fits all” voting system. What we need is a system that follows the Constitution, clean voter rolls, paper ballots, no machines, drop boxes, ballot “harvesting”,and outside interference (Zukerberg, Soros). 2020 should NEVER happen again.
Sen. Sinema and Sen. Manchin have together saved the U.S. from a fate worse than death! Permanent Democrat rule! Instead of the lemming-like behavior of their fellow Dems, blindly following their “leader” off the cliff, these two Senators acted with integrity and performed the task their constituents sent them to DC for; the betterment of these United States, not the Democrat Party (I refuse to call them the Democratic party, because there is nothing Democratic about their goals)!
