There is no denying it – when it came to the anniversary of the Capitol Hill riot, the Democrats and Biden administration pulled out all the stops. It even appeared the Democrats were more prepared for this event than Joe Biden winning in 2020. Either way, claiming that the riot that took place at Capitol Hill on January 6th was the start of a civil war, the Democrats seized the event to further their attempts to erase former President Donald Trump from American democracy. And hoping that not a single American would forget about that supposed tragic day, the Biden administration held a two hour event, which included House Speaker Nancy Pelosi hosting the cast of Hamilton. 

While it it a little confusing as to why the cast of Hamilton would be used to remember the riot, Pelosi acted as if it were normal, stating, “To begin the conversation, we’re privileged to have a contribution from one of the great creative talents of our time, Lin-Manuel Miranda.”

The Speaker would add, “May his beautiful words be an inspiration to us. Among the words he said in the music, we’ll make it right for you. If we lay a strong enough foundation, we’ll pass it on to you, and we’ll give the world to you.”

Following her statements, Miranda would emerge and introduce some of the members of the cast. They would go on to sing “Dear Theodosia” as a way to remember the tragic events of January 6th.

After the performance and Pelosi’s statement, both Vice President Kamala Harris and President Joe Biden would give speeches about that day. Harris was sure to compare the riot to truly horrific events like 9/11 and Pearl Harbor. And not seeing the lack of disrespect in her comments, not a single Democrat would oppose her.

Although the Democrats were only full display, Donald Trump Jr. himself couldn’t help but comment on the theater of it all. “So now it’s literally theater.”

The former President himself would also add his opinion, stating, “The Democrats want to own this day of January 6th so they can stoke fears and divide America. I say, let them have it because America sees through theirs lies and polarizations.”
