According to a report, DaBaby was the alleged triggerman in the shooting of a home intruder at his North Carolina residence on Wednesday night.
The rapper was at his $2.3 million Troutman ranch when a man trespassed around 7:45 p.m., according to TMZ.
After exchanging words, DaBaby, 30, born Jonathan Kirk, shot the invader in the leg, according to sources.
In a six-minute emergency call released by Iredell County Emergency Communications and acquired by WCNC, a man informed a 911 dispatcher, “I shot him in the leg.”
The dispatcher inquired, “OK, and why did you do that?”
“He’s on my property trespassing… I have no idea why he’s here, what he intends to take, what he intends to do… Until you guys come here, he’s neutralized,” the man stated.
The gunshot was described as an “isolated occurrence” by police, who added that “there is no threat to the community at large.”
According to officials, no arrests have been made and the victim is likely to live.
Between 2019 and 2020, police visited the 9-acre property 30 times, which has an 11,200-square-foot mansion, big pool, full-size basketball court, chef’s kitchen, state-of-the-art movie room, and custom-designed wine cellar.
