While the Democrats are completely coming unhinged surrounding the historic Roe vs. Wade case, there has yet to be a ruling from the United States Supreme Court stating that it has been overturned. Still, with a leaked document showing the case being overturned, the Democrats have warned about the dangers of banning abortions in the United States. At the same time, they not only criticized the GOP but also placed the blame on them. It should be noted the ruling would not ban abortion, just leave the decision up to the state. While the left reacts and voices their disdain, it appears the Democrats are eyeing none other than Vice President Kamala Harris to be the voice of reason.

After the leaked document made it way online, Harris, as most politicians do, jumped on Twitter to make her stance official. She wrote, “This is the time to fight for women. Opponents of Roe want to punish women and take away their rights to make decisions about their own bodies. Republican legislators in states across the country are weaponizing the use of the law against women.”

That wasn’t all as she added, “The rights of all Americans are at risk. If the right to privacy is weakened, every person could face a future in which the government can potentially interfere in the personal decisions you make about your life. This is the time to fight for women and for our country with everything we have.”

As for why the Democrats would be seeking the guidance of Harris, a NARAL Pro-Choice America board member, Karen Finney, suggested, “She’s been a champion of the pro-choice movement for a long time. She is a very important messenger to talk about the impact that this is going to have on women — from a health perspective, from the perspective of our bodily autonomy, from the perspective of rights, as a former attorney general.”

Although the Democrats view Harris as the right spokesperson for abortion, the Vice President has had the same troubles as President Biden when it comes to approval ratings.
