Being arrested has been on a Florida teenager’s ‘bucket list’ since high school, she said a sheriff’s deputy who pulled her over.

Douglas, 19, was detained at 58000 Card Sound Road in Key Largo, Florida, at 9:48 a.m. on May 12.
At 7:47 a.m., Sgt. Robert Dosh saw a Toyota Sedan speeding and driving dangerously along Card Sound Road, according to the sheriff’s department.

Dosh used his lights and siren to try to stop the automobile, but it drove on until it came to a stop at an intersection.
‘The suspect indicated that getting arrested has been on her bucket list since high school,’ the document continues. Douglas was arrested and transported to jail.’

Douglas works as a cleaner and lives in Homestead, Florida, some 20 miles from where the arrest took place, according to the sheriff’s website.
According to Florida law, fleeing and eluding is a felony offense that carries “severe consequences” that can include a license suspension of one to five years.
Douglas is scheduled to appear in Monroe County court on June 14th.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office statement drew comments such as: ‘At 19 is it called a bucket list? In my time that was called… GOALS, dreams, aspirations. But I guess if you’re gonna drive like a fool you are rushing toward death so it may be the appropriate word after all.’
