There is a saying that behind every great man, there is an even greater woman supporting him. That statement alone is a great way to describe the Biden administration as President Joe Biden has repeatedly sought the leadership of his Vice President Kamala Harris when trying to juggle issues like COVID-19, the Southern border crisis, and even climate change. With each new problem, the President appears to toss it Harris, who hasn’t been very vocal over the last few months. But that changed as she recently held a conference on working together to end climate change. While the climate has been a cornerstone agenda for the Democrats, what made the Vice President’s speech so interesting is how she slowly descended into incoherent thoughts that many thought only Biden could do. 

There is no denying that when it comes to speeches, podiums, and stairs, President Biden has contributed to many stumbles and fumbles that the internet can’t get enough of. But as mentioned above, this isn’t so much about Biden as it is Harris. In the video, which is featured below, the Vice President was trying to convey the importance of climate change when things took an unusual turn. Take a look.

Not only rambling, Harris suggested numerous times, “We will work together, and continue to work together, to address these issues, to tackle these challenges, and to work together as we continue to work operating from the new norms, rules, and agreements, that we will convene to work together…We will work together”.

Saying the phrase “work together” five times in a matter of a few seconds, users online were baffled by the display of leadership being presented not just to America but the entire world. “Kamala Harris went to the School of Redundancy School of Repetitive Speech Writing School.”

Another person added, “This is the rhetorical equivalent of increasing the font size and widening the margins to meet a written page length requirement.”

Other comments included:

• “Ok we are definitely being punked now, right? This woman is just an absolute joke.”
• “She did it. She met the word count even though she had absolutely nothing to say.”
• “My goodness this woman has ZERO public speaking skills and a 3rd grade vocabulary.”

As for the Southern border, which she was put in charge of, it was recently revealed that the Biden administration was hoarding baby formula, which is in short supply, to give to migrant parents crossing the border. White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki defended the move. “CBP is following the law. That law that has been in place and been followed by the past– every administration since 1997. So this has been a law in the United States for a quarter century. It’s been followed by every administration, but I would also note that we also think it’s morally the right thing to do. That is the difference from the last administration. It is the law, but we believe that when children and babies or babies, I should say, are crossing the border with a family member that providing them formula is morally right, and so we certainly support the implementation of it.”
