A Virginia teacher, Kristine Knizer, who taught at two middle schools in the state was recently charged with possessing child phonography that was shared on her Snapchat account. Being employed at the Irving Middle School in Springfield, the 28-year-old woman was caught after the Fairfax County law enforcement launched an investigation when they were advised that someone at the given IP address was sharing the questionable material. The IP address led local law enforcement to the home of Knizner. She was taken into custody and later released on a $2,000 unsecured bond.

As already noted, Knizer has been employed with another school in the state, Key Middle School. Luckily, the WJLA reported, “The victims do not appear to be related to Knizner’s employment.”

It wasn’t long after the news started to circulate that school officials released a statement about the charges brought against Knizner and admitted that she was being placed on leave. Major Ed O’Carroll stated, “I greatly appreciate the work of our Major Crimes, Cyber and Forensics detectives and analysts. These crimes have no place in our society and certainly not here in Fairfax County.”

According to the United States Department of Justice, the production, distribution, and possession of child pornography is strictly prohibited. “The expansion of the Internet and advanced digital technology lies parallel to the explosion of the child pornography market. Child pornography images are readily available through virtually every Internet technology, including social networking websites, file-sharing sites, photo-sharing sites, gaming devices, and even mobile apps.  Child pornography offenders can also connect on Internet forums and networks to share their interests, desires, and experiences abusing children, in addition to selling, sharing, and trading images.”

For the last few months, parents have criticized local school boards for allowing material surrounding sexual orientation and gender identity to be taught in the classroom. While parents have been deemed domestic terrorists by the left, their concerns have not only produced evidence, but teachers like Knizner have been caught mistreating children after teaching at two different schools.
