Although Americans are struggling to make ends meet with inflation, gas prices, and a recession looming, the Democrats apparently are more worried about the supposed attack to overthrow the government on January 6th. It wasn’t long after the Capitol Hill riot that the Democrats pushed the narrative that the protesters were there under supposed orders from former President Donald Trump to make sure the 2020 election wasn’t solidified. But now that more and more Americans begin to question the results of the 2020 election, the January 6th committee claims to have evidence of Trump’s involvement to steal the election.

Democratic Congressman Adam Schiff recently joined CNN’s Dana Bash on “State on the Union” to discuss the committee hearings. But as mentioned above, Schiff went far beyond the hearing as he accused Trump of election fraud. “We’ll show evidence of the president’s involvement in this scheme. We’ll also, again, show evidence about what his own lawyers came to think about this scheme. And we’ll show courageous state officials who stood up and said they wouldn’t go along with this plan to either call legislatures back into session or decertify the results for Joe Biden.”

Shocked, like most viewers, Bash asked, “Just to be clear, you said you have evidence that the then president was involved in putting a fake slate of electors out there. Do you have evidence that he directed it?”

The Democrat quickly replied, “You know, I don’t want to get ahead of our hearing. We’ll show during a hearing what the president’s role was in trying to get states to name alternate slates of electors, how that scheme depended initially on hopes that the legislatures would reconvene and bless it and he pressed forward with it anyway.”

It should be noted this isn’t the first time Schiff has come after Trump. In 2016, he tried to attack the former President by claiming he was working alongside Russia to steal the election. He ultimately admitted, “I don’t think we can say anything definitively at this point. We are still at the very early stage of the investigation. The only thing I can say is that it would be irresponsible for us not to get to the bottom of this. We really need to find out exactly what the Russians did because one of the most important conclusions the intelligence community reached is that they are going to do this again to the United States … but it’s way premature to be reaching conclusions.
