Fun Times…Criminals in Chicago Can Now Run From Police and Won’t Get Chased

As if crime in Chicago isn’t bad enough, police are no longer allowed to chase criminals [1] when they run away from them.

Yes, you read that right.

The new foot pursuit policy says the police can’t chase folks if they are suspected of committing “minor” offenses like parking violations, driving on a suspended license or drinking alcohol in public.

The Associated Press says “the days of officers giving chase just because someone tries to avoid them are over.”

Happy days are here again! It’s such a great time to be a criminal now with democrats in charge everywhere!

The policy says, “The mere act of flight alone by a person will not serve as justification for engaging in a Foot Pursuit. Department members are prohibited from basing an investigatory stop solely on a person’s response to the presence of police, such as a person’s attempt to avoid contact with a Department member or flight.”

What criminal ISN’T going to run?

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, who had demanded a change in the foot patrol policy, is doing her darnedest to make the city less safe and she’s doing a great job.

Congrats all around to Lightfoot and the other democrats making it a much safer place for criminals in our country.

Chicago is quite a laughingstock as are many other democrat run cities in America.

But it’s actually quite serious business. People are going to die.

Democrats don’t seem to mind much about that anymore.
