Democrats consistently warn about the dangers of the Republicans winning heavily in the 2022 midterm elections. They have suggested that the GOP is overrun by MAGA extremists who care little about democracy and more about their loyalty to former President Donald Trump. But while the Democrats might promote themselves as being the best hope for America going into the future, many of their strongholds around the United States are battling high rates of crime. Just take Philadelphia, for example.
In the video, which can be watched below, a local Wawa convenience store, which offers a fantastic selection of sandwiches, was overrun by a mob of young adults who decided to destroy the place before running into the parking lot to continue their partying. Not remotely worried about the cops or any sort of repercussions, after ransacking the store, the mob transitioned outside, where they decided to start fighting each other. Take a look.
Sadly, this isn’t the first time that Wawas in the area have decided to close their doors due to violence and crime surging. Reporter Joe Holden wrote on Twitter, “They hit a number of Wawa locations — and police tell me most of their Center City locations have since shut down. I checked on two stores — they were closed. Police say an unknown number of juveniles were taken into custody.”
With Wawa deciding to close numerous locations early due to crime, Governor Tom Wolf praised the Biden administration for giving the state $20.3 million to build a new warehouse near the Tioga Marine Terminal. The funds will go towards upgrades and strengthening their security. He said, [1] “This funding from the Biden Administration builds on investments of state, federal and private dollars, and as a result, the port now has the capacity and efficiency to compete on the world stage. A public-private partnership that truly works, the Port of Philadelphia and its men and women in labor have a lot to celebrate today.” As for the boost in security, “Safety of our labor force is paramount. With a modernized gate and approach to the terminal, we can ensure that both the port and public are protected as the port continues to grow.”
Although the video above went viral as it climbed over 800,000 views, the Philadelphia Police Department has yet to give a statement. Not all that surprising. This isn’t only happening in Philadelphia, as crime also surged in California. In San Francisco, the violence got so bad that Walgreens closed 11 locations after they were constant targets for theft and looting. Still, the Democrats insist that the main threat to America is not weakened law enforcement but a single Republican.
